What is notarization of a translation?
This is an action in which the notary verifies the translator's capacity and qualifications, and authenticates the translator's signature on the document. In accordance with the law "On Notariate", a Russian notary can only certify a translation from Russian into a foreign language or vice versa. In cases where a certified translation from a foreign language into another foreign language is required, a double certification is performed. The outcome will be a single document with translation first into Russian and then into the target language. Our company provides this service to both individuals and businesses.
In what cases is it necessary?
Notarization may be needed in many situations. If you are a foreign citizen or traveling to another country, a notarized translation will be needed for:
- migration registration;
- enrollment in a Russian school, university;
- entering into transactions, executing a power of attorney;
- applying for a residence permit or citizenship;
- registration of marriage or birth of a child;
- driving an automobile, motorcycle, flying an aircraft;
- opening a sole proprietorship or founding a company;
- getting a visa.
Most often notarization of translation is done for the following documents:
- passport;
- school certificate, diploma, academic records, other educational certificates;
- birth, marriage, divorce, death, name change certificates;
- driver's or pilot's licenses;
- powers of attorney, consents, statements;
- agreements, contracts;
- statutes, resolutions;
- invoices, acts, audit reports.
